I was born in the tea-covered hills of Taiwan, where my father’s side of the family has been farming for generations. Agriculture is in my blood, and tea has always been at the heart of our story. My family’s farm has cultivated premium Taiwanese oolong tea for decades, passing down not just techniques but also a deep respect for the land.
As a child, I grew up surrounded by the fragrance of freshly picked leaves, the careful rhythm of hand-processing, and the quiet pride my family carried with every harvest. Tea wasn’t just a drink; it was life itself.
When I moved to the United States in the early 2000s, tea slowly faded into the background. It became just another beverage, and for a time I lost touch with my heritage. Years later, after starting my own family, I felt the pull to reconnect. On a trip back to Taiwan, I walked again through the same rows of tea fields where I once played. Sitting with my parents and sharing tea slowly and mindfully, I rediscovered what I had nearly forgotten. That moment planted the seed for Heritage Leaves.

At Heritage Leaves, every batch of tea comes directly from my family’s farm. We grow, harvest, and handcraft each leaf ourselves with no shortcuts or middlemen. Our fields are free of pesticides and herbicides, and every harvest is SGS certified for quality and safety.
